RS PARU Dr. H. A. ROTINSULU

(ROTINSULU PULMONARY HOSPITAL)

RELAXING PLACE TO REFRESH YOUR BREATH

Founded in Bandung, the Paris van Java, in the year of 1935, as Solsana Sanatorium in the era of Dutch East Indies occupation. When Indonesia got its independence from colonialism in 1945, this sanatorium specifically treated pulmonary tuberculosis patients, with average length 3 years of treatment. In 1963, the Sanatorium became a hospital and was led by an Indonesian doctor, Hendrik Alexander Rotinsulu.

Since 2003 the name was changed to Rotinsulu Pulmonary Hospital and has been transformed into a major hospital that provides professional and holistic health services on pulmonary care in Indonesia.

Rotinsulu Pulmonary Hospital seriously keeps its place to be a green hospital. In this hospital, with its beautiful healing garden, patients can enjoy blending in with nature. Located in highland, the natural windbreeze provides cool and fresh air for ventilation on inpatients wards, hence reducing fuel consumptions and pollutions.

Even now, patients can still feel the natural healing experience, both physically and mentally in a place that used to be a tea plantation.
